Paris, Disneyland and Parc Asterix by Car

Paris

view of Eiffel Tower Most of the hotels in central Paris do not have private parking. Of those that do, the nearest to the heart of the city are Hotel La Bourdonnais in the 7th District, near the Eiffel Tower, Hotel Paix Republique and Hotel Campanile in the 10th District, near the Place Republique and Gare du Nord respectively, and the Hotel Kyriad in the 11th District, between Republique and Nation. Parking at these hotels and others in the central Paris area will cost you between 15 and 20 euros per night. You can also consider others which are slightly further from the centre, such as the Hotel Allegro and Campanile Nation in the 12th District which are also convenient for travelling to Disneyland by train (RER). Or the Kyriad at La Villette to also go to Parc Asterix.

Wherever you stay in Paris within the Boulevard Peripherique (the Ring Road), you will never be further than about 10 mins. walk from the nearest Metro station, from where it will be 20-30 mins. to the centre, depending on where you want to go. Even the hotels just outside the Peripherique can be considered, they will be easier to get to and easier and cheaper to park. For example the Campanile at Porte d'Italie which is just off the Periphrique and only about 400m. from the Porte d'Italie Metro station. But also look at others just outside the Peripherique, depending on the direction you are coming from or going to and, therefore, most convenient for you.

Disneyland Paris

First of all you can consider staying in the Paris hotels. Trains of the regional express network, the RER, run directly from Paris to the station within the Disneyland complex. The eastward bound RER trains pass through several central Paris stations, including Charles de Gaulle, Auber, Chatellet les Halles and Nation. There are good metro connections to these stations from all areas, and from some of the hotels you can easily walk.

It is more expensive than the hotels outside the resort but you get a free shuttle service to/from the gates of the park and is more convenient. Alternatively, the nearest hotel outside the park is the Hotel Chanteloup in Chanteloup. It is only 3 kms. from the gates of the park, it is much cheaper and they offer 4 nights for the price of 3 most of the year, but you will have to drive in.

Disneland Paris Scene

If you want to stay in one of the hotels outside the park and do not intend to visit Paris whilst in the area, we suggest you opt for the hotels in Meaux, which is a nice compact town in the country east of Disneyland. Here you wiil be about 15 kms. north-east of the park and well away from the mass of motorways, dual carriageways, new towns and industrial zones which seem to cover most of the area between Paris and Disneyland.

However, if you do intend to combine visits to Paris and Disneyland, then it is probably better to stay in the hotels between the two points. If you intend to use the train to go to Paris, the most convenient are either the hotels at Torcy or the Campanile at Bussy St.Georges. All these hotels have private parking and are within easy walking distance of the RER station from where there are direct trains to central Paris and to the park.

Parc Asterix by Car

Parc Asterix Scene The nearest hotel to Parc Asterix is the Campanile at St.Witz, which is about 6 kms. south of the park. Senlis and Chantilly are about 10 kms. away. None of these hotels are particularly convenient for travelling in to Paris by train, however, and since there is no train station either within or near the park you will have to drive there. To combine visiting Parc Asterix and Paris we suggest one of the hotels near the north-eastern side

of the Peripherique from which you can get to central Paris by metro. For example, the Hotel Kyriad at La Villette, or the Hotel Wilson at Saint Denis, or the Hotels Campanile at Pantin or Bobigny.
